Type O Negative Frontman Peter Steele Dies

Type O Negative frontman Peter Steele has passed away due to heart failure, according to numerous reports.

Rumors of Steele’s death began to circulate on the evening of April 14, and was later confirmed by Fuse TV VJ Juliya ‘Mistress Juliya’ Chernetsky.

Chernetsky wrote via Twitter: “Today is a very sad day in metal…Peter Steele passed today. I loved my friend…our idol…my heart is with his band and family…”

No official statement has been released by the band. More details to come.
