Watch Animals As Leaders Perform a New Song in Australia

by | Feb 4, 2014

A few years ago Animals As Leaders guitarist Javier Reyes told us about the time he auditioned for Periphery. “They were 20 years old, and I was 26. I was just not trying to hang out with 20-year-olds…”

Now older and wiser, Animals As Leaders are gearing up to release their third studio album, a follow-up to 2011’s Weightless. While there aren’t too many details on it yet, word on the street is that it’s expected out this spring. That makes sense, since the band will be going on a lengthy headlining tour later this month with After The Burial, Navene-K, and CHON.

Anyway, until we get further details, here’s some footage we dug up of a new song the band performed in Melbourne, Australia over the weekend.

WOVENWAR Interview with Nick Hipa & Shane Blay

All things considered, it’s pretty crazy how Wovenwar started. Everybody knows the story of what happened with As I Lay Dying, but not many people know that the seeds of Wovenwar were actually planted over a decade ago deep in the heart of Texas, long before As...

The Acacia Strain Interview on Ryan’s Rock Show

I have a pet peeve with the term “music journalist”. I guess technically what I do for Ryan’s Rock Show is a form of journalism, but sadly my image of a music journalist is no longer Lester Bangs. To me, the term “music journalist” has...

Ontronik Interview: Ex-System of a Down Drummer Returns

If you want to hear a crazy rock story, meet Andy Khachaturian. He was original drummer for System Of A Down and frontman for the now defunct Armenian-American quartet The Apex Theory — ever wonder what happened to those guys? If you were born after 1990, you...

Dredg Interview: Chuckles & Mr. Squeezy, Dan The Automator

It’s been a couple years since my last interview with Dredg, and within that time, I’ve become infatuated with Dan The Automator projects Handsome Boy Modeling School and Lovage. As I get reacquainted with Dredg vocalist Gavin Hayes and guitarist Mark...
