We have a thing for covers, particularly renditions of songs from the 90s. Touche Amore must’ve heard us wishing upon a star — they decided to tackle Pearl Jam’s 1994 hit song “Corduroy.”
In a session they did for A.V. Club, frontman Jeremy Bolm said:
“Pearl Jam was the reason I wanted to be in a band. I remember the first time seeing the ‘Even Flow’ video where Eddie Vedder climbs up on the rafters and stage dives. And I remember thinking — as an eight year old kid — that’s what I want to do. I don’t know what it is, but I want to do that.”
Touche Amore recently released their album Stage Four. You can catch them climbing the rafters at venues across North America on their current tour with Tiny Moving Parts and Culture Abuse. For folks in Europe, they’ll be out your way early next year with Angel Du$t.
