Beecher Breaks Up Again

Beecher has again called it quits, after reforming last December with plans for a number of 2011 shows.

The band tells Rock Sound, “When we knocked it on the head in 2005 our personal lives were in various states of disarray and we had no inclination to continue with things. Several years on, lives sorted out a bit and the urge to pick up where we left off was strong- so we planned a few shows to see how we felt about the whole thing. The shows were fantastic- especially London and our hometown show in Manchester, but instead of feeling like a new beginning, it felt like an appropriate full stop to all things Beecher.”

Beecher Reform, Planning 2011 Shows

Beecher have reformed after five years of disbandment, and are planning a number of shows in 2011.

“Summer 2011 sees the 10 year anniversary of the start of Beecher,” comments the band in a released statement. “We disbanded suddenly, during our most active period, playing just one ‘goodbye’ gig, at which more than 100 fans of the band were rejected at the doors of the already over-capacity venue.”

“Having had five years of reflection time, and considering the aforementioned fact that our tenth birthday is fast approaching, we have decided to reform, playing a handful of shows over the course of 2011 – the first of which will take place on April 29th at the Star & Garter, in our hometown of Manchester.  The rest are as-of-yet unconfirmed.”
