Behemoth will release their upcoming DVD, “Evangelia Heretika”, on November 9 via Metal Blade.
The offering will include three discs featuring two full shows (live in Paris 2008 and Live in Warsaw 2009), every music video the band ever made, an “Evangelion” tour documentary featuring band interviews and backstage footage, and a bonus “Live in Warsaw” audio CD.
Behemoth vocalist Nergal has released a statement on his recent health issues. Nergal was diagnosed last week with leukemia. The statement reads:
“I haven’t intended to manifest myself in any way and, especially at this stage, to share my feelings or any other news with the world for obvious reasons. It is simply too early for it. But it was YOU who provoked me to say a few words. Regarding my personal low opinion of humankind, I’m shocked by the reaction to my illness. I actually expected NOTHING yet received feedback which surpassed all expectations. I want to ensure you I read EACH mail I receive, although I’m unable to reply to all of them. The power of your words is pure magic and I thank you all for it. You are a gigantic indestructible army that truly inspires me in this difficult time. The fact is that a fight with this illness is going to last for many months. Most of this time I will spend in hospital and I will go through various psychophysical states. If you know the history of Behemoth you also know we achieved everything by hard work and a steely determination. The same goes for my private life. I happen to be a strong son of a bitch. I have no faith but rely on a 100% victory and I am sure I will get out of it stronger than ever. Sun Tzu in his ‘Art of War’ said that if you know your enemy and yourself the result of a thousand battles will not surprise you… I enter the ring with this Nietzschean attitude and I will leave it as a winner, as usual. Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski has been diagnosed with leukemia.
According to reports, the disease is in advanced stages to where chemotherapy is not an option for treatment. Nergal will most likely need a bone marrow transplant.
Reports indicate that Nergal’s fiance has donated bone marrow, but it has not been determined if there will be a DNA match.

Behemoth have cancelled all of their upcoming touring plans. Frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski, who was rushed to the Gdansk Medical University Hospital in Gdansk, Poland over the weekend, released a statement in regards to his health issues. The following statement was posted on the band’s official Polish site and has been translated to English:
“I do not want to bore you with details, but I can no longer hide the fact that I was seriously ill and waiting for my multi-stage treatment, which can take up to several months. Thus, we refer the coming summer festivals, planned for September and October tour in Russia and the Baltics, and the November tour of the USA. I know that this is not the best news for you, but health is most important. I’ve got a rather difficult period, and a lot of work but I became hardened in the fire, is not it? You know me, so that you know that out of this stronger than ever. Then all the concerts also will plan from scratch and even greater momentum. At this time, feels good, my head is to fight the disease, everything is under control professionals. I have with me the most wonderful and loving woman, family, team, managers and people from publishing companies who are doing everything to support me. Do not ask for more than just a little bit of patience. I would add that the fact that in the near future we will not be touring with does not go into hibernation. We have a lot to offer you in the coming months, Behemoth will work on many other fronts. In coming days expect release of our latest clip ‘Alas, Lord Is Upon Me’.
