In This Moment Finalize Songwriting For New Album

In This Moment are in the final stages of the songwriting process for their upcoming album due out in summer. Guitarist Chris Howorth comments on the band’s new material: “We made a decision early on that this was gonna be a darker/heavier album than its predecessor, The Dream, and we are so stoked on the new ideas we have been coming up with. Some of these songs are pure groove metal, it’s so heavy and the best part is that Maria Brink and I are actually agreeing on a lot of this heavy stuff, where in the past there was a lot of clashing between us. We can’t wait to unleash the new material on our fans and everyone else around the world.”

In This Moment to Record New Album in February

In This Moment will start recording their new album in mid-February with Kevin Churko, and are tentatively shooting for a summer release. The band commented on their current happenings and upcoming record:

“We have some really exciting summer tour plans that we cant wait to tell you about really soon. As far as direction for the new album everyone in the band is feeling a heavier/ darker vibe, We want the lush production and melodic layers from the “The Dream” with the raw power and aggression from “Beautiful Tragedy” all mixed together…we are the kind of band that musically does what we want, from the heart, we do not follow trends or fads,  the new ITM album will be no exception, we are writing from our heart and I can promise you what you hear from us next will be 100% THE REAL DEAL, no flavor of the week bullshit here. We are counting on you, our friends/fans/family to keep spreading the word, get people excited, get everyone fired up for round 3! We wouldnt be anything without our fans! Much love and luck for 2010, heres to all your dreams becoming reality!”

In Fear And Faith Drop Off In This Moment Tour

In Fear And Faith have been forced to drop off their current tour with In This Moment. The band issued the following update:

“Unfortunately we are going to have to drop off of the last week of tour. We sincerely apologize to anyone we’ve let down who’s been looking forward to coming to one of our shows. There’s nothing that makes us happier than playing our music for incredible people everynight, but it’s a difficult lifestyle. We tour 300+ days a year and make huge sacrifices at home and in life to pursue this. An urgent situation arose at home for one of our members that’s needs to be taken care of…there’s not a worse feeling in the world than feeling helpless because we’re not home to tend to a situation. We hope all our friends/fans can understand, and we promise to make it up to anyone we’ve let down. We are JUST dropping off the last week of this tour, we WILL be at all the other shows listed, and we have some incredible and exciting things happening in 2010. Let me emphasize how incredible motionless in white and in this moment are…if you planned on going to any of the shows we’re missing, please make sure you still go and support the bands. I personally watched both bands almost everynight and was blown away everytime. We love both bands tremendously and we know you guys would enjoy them too. We love all of you…and get stoked for 2010. We’ll be writing for the new album for the next couple months and recording soon. Thanks for the ongoing support, and we’ll be seeing all of you soon 🙂 Ramin & InFAF <3”
