The Big Four — Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax — have been confirmed to headline UK’s Sonisphere festival on July 8 alongside Slipknot.
Metallica recorded a cover of The Kinks song, “You Really Got Me”, for Ray Davies’ forthcoming collaborative effort, “See My Friends”, due on November 1. A preview of the track can be seen here.
“The Big Four: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria” DVD/Blu-ray featuring Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax at Sonisphere in Sofia, Bulgaria has been pushed back to a November 2 release date in North America.
Metallica will be releasing a limited edition EP dubbed “Six Feet Down Under” via their online store on September 20.
The effort, which features live versions of tracks performed in Australia from 1989 to 2004, will be released in support of the band’s upcoming run in Australia and New Zealand.
