It’s about time The Fall of Troy make it down to Southern California! After a series of reunion shows the past year, they’ve finally announced a show in Pomona for early November. This makes us super happy.
It’s been nearly nine months since The Fall of Troy announced that they reformed. The band played a few scattered shows so far this year, and they’ve reportedly been working on a new record, a follow up to 2009′s In the Unlikely Event. And as it seems, they may have some tricks up their sleeve for this fall.
You know The Fall of Troy were one of the first bands to take out Tera Melos? We saw them play back in 2008 when the Knitting Factory in Hollywood was still around. Before the show we interviewed TFOT and talked about some haunted venues they played at, such as the Masquerade in Atlanta. “I don’t feel comfortable walking alone by myself before doors open,” Thomas Erak said of the place.
You’ll probably facepalm yourself out of excitement for this one, and we’re alright with that. Guess what, dude? The Fall of Troy are writing a new album. No we’re not lying. It’ll be a follow up release to their 2009 album In the Unlikely Event.
It sure does look that way! As you know, The Fall of Troy made their return in December when they played a series of reunion shows in Austin. Not only did they announce their reunion, but that they’re back 100% DIY — doing it all themselves.
