Touche Amore’s Jeremy Bolm Launches New Label ‘Secret Voice’

Touche Amore frontman Jeremy Bolm has launched a label dubbed Secret Voice, with releases to be manufactured and distributed by Deathwish.

Speaking of the label, Bolm commented, “It’s an excuse to release different things that I fully believe in, whether it’s a record, book, video, etc. The wonderful people at Deathwish have blessed me with this opportunity. I have been lucky enough to spend most of the last few years traveling, and in my travels I have met a lot of talented people and seen a lot of fantastic bands that have influenced my decision to get this project off the ground. When we were in Europe this last Summer I made the mistake of forgetting my music and books in our van back in the states. This lead to a lot of time to think about what else I wanted to do with my life aside from Touche Amore. I’ve always dreamed of working at a label, so what’s better than starting one with your friends helping you out? Well, here goes nothing.”

Best 11 Releases of 2011

With 2011 coming to an end, we have assembled a list of the best releases put out this year. When brainstorming for this article and determining the criteria for how our list would be ranked, we felt at the end of the day it be best to only feature records that we absolutely loved and listened to all year. Rather than publishing a list in favor of a particular record label, scene, or trend, we wanted to shine light on music that made the soundtracks of our lives here at Ryan’s Rock Show. Here are the records that were played religiously at Bonnerhaus the past 364 days. We call these records the “Best 11 Releases of 2011,” as they include two EPs. We hope they resonate with you as greatly as they do us.
