Boston Police Says No More Moshing at Shows

According to the Boston Herald, city police plan to crack down on moshing at shows, calling it “dangerous behavior” and a “public safety hazard.”

Boston cops cited the House of Blues for a license violation after a rowdy mosh pit broke out during a Flogging Molly performance on February 21st.

Police say that 60 concertgoers were involved in an “aggressive mosh pit dance” where they were “colliding into each other” and some “knocked to the ground.”

House of Blues have been ordered to put up illuminated signs saying moshing is not allowed, following a City Hall hearing on Monday.

So far no moshing injuries have been reported.
