Black Map (Dredg, ex-Far): Watch Footage of their Second Show Ever

by | Jan 15, 2014

When we interviewed Dredg back in 2011, guitarist Mark Engles opened up to us about the difficulties of a touring musician — “I actually wanted to be bigger than this. I thought I could pay my rent, buy a house, and raise kids — but that’s not really happening.”

But despite the hardships that come with being in a band, Engles has managed to make a name for himself on the map. And with his new band Black Map, he may just be giving topographers a run for their money.

The new band featuring Engles, ex-Far drummer Chris Robyn, and The Trophy Fire vocalist/guitarist Ben Flanagan played their second show ever last weekend in San Jose at the Blank Club. Here’s some footage of it. We hear there’s an EP in the works.
