FUGAZI’s First Demo Ever Recorded is Getting Released This Winter

by | Aug 11, 2014

So back in 1988, when we were toddlers and most of you weren’t even born, Fugazi entered the studio to record a demo after only playing about 10 shows. They tracked 11 songs, put them on cassette, and gave them away for free at their gigs.

From that recording session only one song (“In Defense of Humans”) was released. Fast forward to now, 26 years later, and Dischord Records will be releasing the entire demo this winter. The release will include all 10 songs originally featured on the cassette, plus one that wasn’t included (“Turn Off Your Guns”).

First Demo will get put out on CD and vinyl (with a digital download) this winter. No release date yet but we’ll let you know.
