TAPE: EVERY TIME I DIE’s Keith Buckley Has a New Electronic Project, Produced by GLASSJAW’s Daryl Palumbo

by | Sep 4, 2015

If you’re an Every Time I Die fan, you know Glassjaw and ETID go way back. As you may know, GJ frontman Daryl Palumbo made a guest appearance on the band’s 2005 album Gutter Phenomenon, performing on the track “Champing at the Bit.”

Well, the pair have teamed up once again. Buckley recently launched a new synth-driven electronic project with producer Joshua Hurley called Tape, and Palumbo and TJ Penzone (ex-Men, Women & Children) produced it. Right up Daryl’s alley, since he had been doing his post-punk/new wave band Color Film the past couple years.

Anyway, Tape will be releasing a 9-track album this fall. And word on the street is that they’ll be joining Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) on a run of West Coast dates in October. As an interesting aside, Way also made an appearance on Gutter Phenomenon on the track “Kill the Music.”

Here’s a stream of their debut track “Synthetic.”
