DEFTONES Cancel their European Touring Plans

by | Nov 16, 2015

Given everything that happened in Paris on Friday, Deftones have scrapped their European tour. The band was in Paris during the time of the attacks, and apparently a couple of the members were at the Eagles of Death Metal show, and had left moments before shots rang out at the Bataclan.

The band posted on Facebook:

Much has been said, as well as seen, on every media outlet about the events in Paris. Some of us were in attendance at the Le Bataclan, and the rest of our family, just blocks away on this night. We have been to Paris many, many times, and we’ve had some of the most amazing shows in this tremendously electric city.

With this being said, and with our deepest condolences, love and respect to everyone affected, and to all of us who share this planet, we must return home to our loved ones. We will return when appropriate.

Here’s footage of Chino Moreno getting interviewed from Paris by CBS Sacramento:

36 Crazyfists Interview on Ryan’s Rock Show

You gotta wonder about the fate of some of these younger bands. Will majority of them just put out an album or two and vanish, or will some groups actually have the lasting power to stand the test of time? The “test of time” meaning that they’ll have...
