GIRAFFE TONGUE ORCHESTRA are Playing Some Shows

by | Apr 21, 2016

Supergroups are definitely a thing right now. One supergroup we’ve been talking about for a long time is Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, the band that’s spearheaded by Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Brent Hinds of Mastodon, plus William DuVall of Alice in Chains.

They recently wrapped up recording a 10-track album that’s expected out sometime this year… maybe as soon as this summer. We know they had spent some time recording with Ross Robinson and Steve Evetts, and collaborated with Juliette Lewis (ex-Juliette and the Licks) and a handful of other musicians. Still not sure on the lineup for live shows.

But they will in fact be doing at least a few shows this summer. They’ve been confirmed for Reading and Leeds Festivals in the U.K. this August, and we presume more dates will be announced.

More to come.
