WAKRAT: Rage Against The Machine Bassist Has Another New Project

All this talk about Rage Against The Machine reincarnate Prophets of Rage… but there’s also another Rage-related project happening: Wakrat.

The band features Rage Against The Machine founding member Tim Commerford on vocals/bass, along with Mathias Wakrat on drums and Laurent Grangeon on guitar and vocals.

Commerford said,

We have put a shit load of blood and sweat into this and we want it back!  Our mission is to attack modern music and smash the grid.  Unapologetic, unrelenting, unbridled and uncensored. Understood?

Well, we do understand that the band recently inked a deal with Earache Records and that they’ll be putting out their debut effort sometime this year.

Here’s their new track “Knucklehead.”
