GLASSJAW’s New Album to feat. DILLINGER Drummer + 2017 Shows

by | Dec 5, 2016

Will 2017 be the year for their LONG-awaited album? We sure to hope so!

Glassjaw have been pretty quiet since they toured earlier this year with Coheed and Cambria. If you remember, they released a song last December called “New White Extremity” and said it was a taste of what’s to come. Now we’re entering another new year and still haven’t heard anything.

BUT… there is a glimmer of hope. The Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Billy Rymer did an interview recently and said he recorded a bunch of songs for the Jaw.

He said,

“I recorded a record for them that’s probably due to come out sometime in 2036 [laughs]. Hopefully it’ll be out next year… I tracked a bunch of songs for them and a whole album’s worth of material. They’re waiting to see how they’re going to release it.”

That’s good enough for us, Billy.

In other GJ happenings, the band announced that they’ll be playing Travis Barker’s 10th annual Musink Festival, which takes place on March 17th-19th at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA. Tix go on sale Wednesday.

The Acacia Strain Interview on Ryan’s Rock Show

Underoath Interview with Spencer Chamberlain

I often wonder about the tipping point of bands. At what moment in any given successful band’s career — in conjunction with marketing, public relations, and relentless touring efforts — did they enter the forefront of public consciousness, and what caused...
