WEAR YOUR WOUNDS (Converge) Releasing Debut Album “WYW”

by | Jan 12, 2017

Side projects are rad. Like this one from Converge frontman Jacob Bannon. It’s called Wear Your Wounds and it’s the product of years of lo-fi solo recordings. Wait ’til you see the guest appearances on the record.

The debut album is called WYW. It features Bannon with guest musicians like Kurt Ballou (Converge), Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Stomach Earth), Chris Maggio (Sleigh Bells, Trap Them, Coliseum), and Sean Martin (HatebreedTwitching Tongues). They all worked together on this 10-track record that’s a departure from their previous projects. Think Swans and early Pink Floyd with slower bits of Converge.

Get this. Wear Your Wounds will be making their live debut in Europe this spring. The trek includes a performance at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands on April 22nd. It also features Chelsea Wolfe on select dates.

Here’s the new song “Goodbye Old Friend.”

WYW comes out April 7th from Deathwish.

Wear Your Wounds tour dates:

Apr 21 Pratteln, CHE @ Z7 w/ Crippled Black Phoenix
Apr 22 Tilburg, NLD @ Roadburn Festival
