Converge releases first new music since 2012

by | Jul 25, 2017

It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years since we’ve heard new music from Converge. The last we got from them was 2012’s album All We Love We Leave Behind. But if you’re on the hunt for new jams from these heavy music pioneers, look no further. Today is your day.

The band released a new track titled “I Can Tell You About Pain.” It’s one of two songs on their new 2-track EP appropriately dubbed I Can Tell You About Pain b/w Eve. It’s being released digitally and as a 7-inch, which will be available on their tour that kicks off later this week with Neurosis and Amenra.

Now look, we know it’s only two new songs, but there’s more on the way. Epitaph and Deathwish are promising that a new Converge record will be out later this year. So think of these songs as an appetizer until the full course arrives.

Word on the street is that Converge has “evolved exponentially” with their new record. Needless to say, we can’t wait for our headphones to explode.

Here’s a video for their new single:

Converge tour dates:

Jul 29 Detroit, MI @ St. Andrews

Korn Interview on Ryan’s Rock Show: Drummer Ray Luzier Remembers Who He Is

Back in the prehistoric days when neanderthals like Geocities and MP3.com walked the net, Korn was the baddest band in the world. When I was in the 7th grade, I would go to my Catholic grade school non-uniform days strictly in Korn attire, and would scream...

WOVENWAR Interview with Nick Hipa & Shane Blay

All things considered, it’s pretty crazy how Wovenwar started. Everybody knows the story of what happened with As I Lay Dying, but not many people know that the seeds of Wovenwar were actually planted over a decade ago deep in the heart of Texas, long before As...
