Between The Buried And Me recording album #8

by | Aug 1, 2017

It’s been two years since Between The Buried And Me released their album Coma Ecliptic. Ready for another one? Good because BTBAM are in the studio recording album #8.

It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the band have chosen to team up once again with producer and longtime collaborator Jamie King. He’s played a role in every BTBAM album to date, with the exception of the group’s 2003 Victory Records release The Silent Circus. He’s even had his hands in BTBAM offshoot projects like Trioscapes and Orbs.

As we type this, BTBAM and King are holed up in the studio — which from the looks of it, doesn’t appear to be the usual Basement Recording in Winston-Salem, NC — laying down tracks for the new effort. Judging by bassist Dan Briggs’ reaction in the photo above, things look to be coming together piece by piece.

While we’re not sure when new material is expected out, we’ve got high hopes that they’ll be debuting at least some new material on their upcoming fall tour (for encores maybe?). The band will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 2004 album Colors with The Contortionist, Polyphia, and Toothgrinder along for the ride.

And because we’re in a BTBAM mood today, here’s a stream of Colors in its entirety:
