…And We Explode with BLACK MAP (Dredg, Far) in October

by | Aug 27, 2014

You know that band Black Map we’ve been talking about that features members of Dredg and Far? They put out an EP called Driver earlier this year and they’ll be soon coming out with their debut album. Brace yourselves.

The band’s forthcoming album is titled …And We Explode. It’s a twelve-song record that was recorded with producer Aaron Hellam, who had worked with The Trophy Fire in the past.

Singer/guitarist Ben Flanagan (The Trophy Fire) said:

“The goal was to create a band that was really heavy and simultaneously beautiful. Mark [Engles of  Dredg] and I were having beers one night, and we talked about creating a band that was heavier than anything else we had previously done before. The project set itself apart from that moment on. As a unit, we were collectively searching for that apex of heaviness and beauty at the same time.”

This fall the band will head out on a European tour supporting Chevelle.

…And We Explode comes out on October 28th via Minus Head Records.
