Animals as Leaders: Javier Reyes Denied Entry Into Canada Due to ‘Boston’ Case

by | Feb 27, 2013

Animals as Leaders will miss their shows in Canada this week — guitarist Javier Reyes was denied entry into the country.

“Javier was not permitted into Canada due to the pending ‘Boston’ case,” the band said. “We tried everything we could to get in but were denied entry at the border crossing.”

In June 2012 Reyes was unlawfully arrested by the Boston Police Department, sparking an online petition to exonerate him which gained over 25,000 signatures.

The band will resume their current trek with Meshuggah on March 1st in Sacramento.
