AT THE DRIVE-IN: Jim Ward Splits with Band Days Before Reunion Tour

by | Mar 21, 2016

This station is non operational. At least for At The Drive-In co-founder Jim Ward. It was revealed over the weekend that he’s no longer in the band and won’t be on their upcoming reunion tour.

As our ship prepares for voyage, we announce that Jim Ward will not be joining us on future journeys. We wish him well and are excited to see you soon.

That’s one way to put it.

No word as to why Ward is no longer in the group, or why the announcement was so nonchalant — but fans aren’t happy about it. Following the reunion tour announcement back in January, rumors began circulating that Ward wouldn’t be on the worldwide trek. And since it’s not the original lineup as promised, people are feeling duped.

Nonetheless, Ward co-founded the band back in 1993 with Cedric Bixler-Zavala. He appeared on the band’s reunion stint in 2012.

March 21st hushed the wind, the music died.
