Read the Letter 14-Year-Old DAVE GROHL Sent to IAN MACKAYE

So this is really awesome. Back in the day when Dave Grohl was a kid growing up in Springfield, Virginia, he was a huge fan of Ian MacKaye (Fugazi), who at the time was playing in the DC area band Minor Threat. He was so much of a fan to where he wrote a letter to Ian asking if he could get “some numbers or people to get in touch with.”

Of course you know Grohl went on to play in Nirvana, and then later Foo Fighters. Here’s the letter a 14-year-old Dave Grohl sent to Ian. Gotta say, it definitely touched our hearts.
