The Fall of Troy are Back Together, 100% DIY

by | Jan 20, 2014

It’s official. The Fall of Troy are back together.

As you know, we’ve been covering TFOT for years, and were really bummed when they disbanded abruptly in 2010 — especially since drummer Andrew Forsman told us when In The Unlikely Event came out that there was no end in sight.

Last month TFOT played a series of reunion shows in Austin, TX, testing the waters and getting a feel for whether or not they should regroup. Today word comes in that The Fall of Troy are indeed back together and are completely DIY — booking their own shows and recording their own music.

It’s not too much of a surprise that the band are channeling their DIY roots — in fact, Thomas Erak used to book their early tours from a public library. Maybe we can expect a TFOT Haus show in 2014?

We haven’t heard any news yet about new music, but they do have a show lined up on February 22nd in Seattle at the Showbox. VIP passes go on sale tonight at midnight (PST) here; regular tickets go on sale at noon (PST) on Friday.

So what does this mean for Thomas Erak in Chiodos?

More to come.
