Alright, alright, alright, alright. We figured we should sound like André 3000 when we tell you the new album from Animals As Leaders has officially been given a release date. The new record is called The Joy of Motion and it’s coming out in March.
We asked Tosin Abasi a few years ago what the ingredients were for a successful band. “I just know for myself, I’ve been in other bands where I’ve been less happy, and this is a band where I specifically wanted to have it be as close to my musical ideal as possible…with no rules.”
A few years ago Animals As Leaders guitarist Javier Reyes told us about the time he auditioned for Periphery. “They were 20 years old, and I was 26. I was just not trying to hang out with 20-year-olds…”
A bunch of dates have been added to Animals As Leaders’ North American tour with After The Burial, Navene-K, and CHON.
