Asking Alexandria vocalist Danny Worsnop was escorted offstage for being overly intoxicated during the band’s show Tuesday night at Studio 7 in Seattle.
Worsnop was removed from stage by crew members during the band’s set, after staggering and rolling around drunk, barely being able to perform.
Guitarist Ben Bruce asked the crowd, “Who here will support us in putting my best friend through rehab and making him better?”
Video footage of the incident is below. Additionally, the band has since released a statement saying, “Seattle: We will be coming back to play a FREE show for you…Sometimes, being ‘Reckless & Relentless’ gets you in the worst place of your life.”
Asking Alexandria on Jimmy Kimmel in April
Asking Alexandria will perform on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, April 11.
Asking Alexandria have been forced to cancel their April 12 gig in Nashville, TN at Rocketown, after the venue banned the band from performing, deeming the group “too controversial.”
The predominately Christian all-ages music venue has been the center of controversy on a number of occasions. In October 2009, the venue was forced to ban The Black Dahlia Murder and Toxic Holocaust, after getting heat from local conservatives for booking “Satanic” bands that promote drug-use to children.
Asking Alexandria has moved their April 12 headlining show to Cannery Ballroom in Nashville.
Asking Alexandria will release a digital single for the track “Morte Et Dabo” on February 15 via iTunes.
The track comes from the band’s new effort, Reckless and Relentless, due on April 5 through Sumerian.
