Star Monarchy Taps Members of Protest The Hero, All Shall Perish, ex-Tesseract, ex-Periphery for Debut Album ‘Volume 1’

Star Monarchy, the project of bassist Ray Riendeau (James Labrie, Halford), has enlisted a number of musicians to appear on its forthcoming debut album, Volume 1.

While Rody Walker (Protest The Hero) and Travis Orbin (ex-Periphery, Sky Eats Airplane) have been tapped for the project’s lineup to record the debut record, the effort will include guest appearances from Dan Tompkins (ex-Tesseract) and Francesco Artusato (All Shall Perish), amongst others.

Periphery Writing Two New Albums

Periphery is at work on two new albums, one if which is a concept record dubbed Juggernaut.

“You are going to know it is Periphery when you hear it but we are working on a wider range of sounds for this record,” guitarist Jake Bowen told Espyrock.com. “We’re starting to get more proficient at our recording techniques and we’re better musicians than we were last year so it will showcase more of a mature sound for sure.”

Periphery Part Ways with Guitarist

Periphery and guitarist Alex Bois have parted ways.

“This is truly a sad day for Periphery, because Alex has been with us since the beginning, and he is like a brother to us,” the band commented. “We’re going to do everything we can to make the most out of this unfortunate situation, and soldier on like we always have in the past when faced with setbacks.”
