Skeletonwitch has tapped drummer Tony Laureano, who has played for bands such as Nile and Dimmu Borgir, to replace Derrick “Mullet Chad” Nau on the band’s upcoming tours, as well as its forthcoming album expected out in fall.

“Our good friend Tony will be playing drums on our April tour, new album, and for the foreseeable future,” comments guitarist Scott Hedrick. “We’re fucking stoked to have a drummer of his caliber and experience on board. He’s a beast behind the kit and a great fucking guy as well. You can’t ask for more than that!”

Skeletonwitch has released the second installment of its 7” trilogy. The effort features a re-recorded version of the track “The Skullsplitter”, and a song recorded with producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, High On Fire) dubbed “No Rest For The Dead”. Skeletonwitch will release a limited 7” trilogy series via Prosthetic Records. Each trilogy will include one of three re-recorded tracks from their out-of-print debut, At One With The Shadows, as well as arwork by drummer Derrick “Mullet Chad” Nau.

The first series, limited to 500 copies on gold vinyl, features the tracks “At One With The Shadows” and “Bringers of Death”. It begins shipping on November 15. The second installment will see its release in early 2011.
