The Acacia Strain will be entering Planet Z Studios in Hadley, MA with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall) on April 14 to begin tracking their new album.
Vocalist Vincent Bennett commented: “It’s been a long time coming. It’s going to be hard to follow ‘Continent,’ but I’m confident that everyone will be as pleased with this record as we are. With this album we’re not trying to reinvent the wheel, per say, but prove ourselves viable in today’s music scene.”
The Acacia Strain have been added to “Hell On Earth Tour”, a European trek set to kick off in September featuring Every Time I Die, Terror, All Shall Perish, Down To Nothing, and Thick As Blood. Dates can be found here.
Whitechapel’s third album, “A New Era of Corruption”, will feature guest vocal appearances from Vincent Bennett (The Acacia Strain) on the track “Murder Sermon” and Chino Moreno (Deftones) on the track “Reprogrammed to Hate”.
Guitarist Alex Wade comments: “Vincent has been a long time friend of the band and we have always talked about him doing guest vocals on one of our records, so naturally his style of vocals fits our music perfectly and sounds great. We’re honored to have Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno on our record. All of us are huge Deftones fans so it’s pretty surreal for us. He absolutely killed his part on the album and it’s everything I envisioned it would be. Plus it’s cool that Chino was so opened minded to do vocals on something so extreme; I think that it sounds fantastic.”

The Acacia Strain are currently writing a new album and plan to begin demoing the material soon. The band currently has eight songs written — six of the songs have vocals.
The Acacia Strain’s video for “Dr. Doom” from their new double DVD, “The Most Known Unknown,” has been posted online and can be seen here. The DVD hits stores on February 16th.
