So this is really awesome. Back in the day when Dave Grohl was a kid growing up in Springfield, Virginia, he was a huge fan of Ian MacKaye (Fugazi), who at the time was playing in the DC area band Minor Threat. He was so much of a fan to where he wrote a letter to Ian asking if he could get “some numbers or people to get in touch with.”
That’s an interesting pair, Dave Grohl and Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe for a new Teenage Time Killers track. The project that’s spearheaded by Mike Dean and Reed Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity have set a release date for their debut effort that’ll include numerous guest appearances by members of Slipknot, The Alkaline Trio, Clutch, plus Jello Biafra and more.
You may have heard about this band Teenage Time Killers. It’s a group that features Mike Dean and Reed Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity, and they’ve just inked a deal with Rise Records. What’s really cool is that they recorded the instrumental parts of their forthcoming album at Dave Grohl’s 606 studio in Northridge, CA.
We don’t pay too much attention to the Grammys around here, but last night’s award show has Trent Reznor giving “a heartfelt fuck you” to music’s biggest night.
Ghost will release their new Dave Grohl-produced covers EP, If You Have Ghost, in November.
