The time has come, dear friends, for a new album from United Nations. The project, spearheaded by former Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly, will be putting out their long-awaited sophomore album this summer. It’s called The Next Four Years.
Originally the tracks on the release were supposed to be put out as 7″s, but apparently the real United Nations sued the band, causing some serious delay. Not only that, but some of the 7″s were banned in various countries, such as Russia. What a pain!
Anyway, the band’s forthcoming sophomore album will be released in the form of a box set via Temporary Residence in July. We presume it’ll also be made available digitally.
UN did a string of shows last fall, and we’re assuming with the release of their new record they’ll be doing some more this summer.
The Next Four Years comes out on July 15th.
