MY IRON LUNG are Breaking Up

by | Nov 8, 2016

This isn’t how we wanted to start the day. My Iron Lung announced that they’ll be disbanding after their upcoming shows.

“As a band, we have created the music we’ve wanted to, travelled to countries we never thought we would visit and met so many amazing people along the way.

It’s an overwhelming feeling to end a project you’ve put so much of yourself into but we’ve done everything we set out to do and more! In no way are we ending things on a bad note, all of us will continue to be involved in music one way or another. The support from all of you has been incredible and we wouldn’t have made it this far without you.

A sincere thank you to our friends, family and fans for providing us with the opportunity to create music and play it live for six years straight.”

My Iron Lung formed in 2011 and released two full length albums, 2014’s Relief and 2016’s Learn to Leave.

If you want to catch them one last time, beginning tomorrow the band will head out on their final string of shows. They’ll be supporting Tiny Moving Parts alongside Movements.

My Iron Lung final tour dates:

Nov 09 Los Angeles, CA @ The Hi Hat
Nov 10 Sacramento, CA @ The Boardwalk
Nov 11 Berkeley, CA @ 924 Gilman Street
Nov 12 Portland, OR @ Analog Cafe
Nov 13 Seattle, WA @ The Funhouse
