Mike Patton to Star in ‘The Darkness II’ Video Game, New Tomahawk Album in Works

Faith No More frontman Mike Patton has a starring role in the upcoming video game, The Darkness II, in which he voices the character of the Darkness.

“They wanted some kind of otherworldly voice, basically screaming and narration, and I thought, ‘that’s kind of in my wheelhouse,'” Patton told Rolling Stone.

The game is due out on February 7th, 2012.

In related news, Patton has revealed that Tomahawk is at work on a new album.

Fear and the Nervous System Moving Forward with Album

Fear and the Nervous System, featuring James “Munky” Shaffer (Korn), Billy Gould (Faith No More), Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion), and Steve Krolikowski (Repeater), look to be moving forward with the release of their long-awaited album. 

As previously reported, the project is said to be a “70s rock band Joy Division with a modern feel.”

Mike Patton will collaborate with Australian band Pivixki for a show at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on May 18.

Patton’s Faith No More bandmate Billy Gould is also scheduled on the bill to debut his new project The Talking Book.

Faith No More Pulls Fan From Audience to Play Drums, Tool’s Danny Carey Makes Cameo (video)

Faith No More’s final US reunion show on Wednesday night at Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles took an interesting turn when drummer Mike Bordin left set to “take a piss.” Singer Mike Patton invited a fan on stage to show off his drum skills, and after receiving boos from a rambunctious crowd, the fan was dismissed as Tool drummer Danny Carey makes a cameo.
