Paul Gray of Slipknot will be joining Hail! — a band featuring Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex-Judas Priest, Iced Earth), David Ellefson (Megadeth), and Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) — as the bassist for the band’s upcoming European and Asian dates.
Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison will be handling drum duties for Rob Zombie’s upcoming spring/summer tours.
Zombie comments: “Joey is an absolutely crushing drummer and I am thrilled to have him as part of the Zombie family. His amazing skills promise to take the live show to a whole new level of insanity.”
Jordison also commented, saying, “I am honored, proud and excited to announce that I have joined the ranks as the new touring drummer for Rob Zombie. I’ve been a fan of Zombie’s since the beginning. I’ve toured with them and have always wanted to play for them. When John 5 called me up to ask if I knew any drummers I could recommend, I said, only half-jokingly, ‘Yeah, me!'”
“The Gruesome Twosome Tour”, Rob Zombie’s first leg of spring tour dates, is set to kick off on April 26th in Winnipeg, MB. Complete dates can be found here.
Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) will be making a guest appearance on Travis Barker’s new solo album. Barker tells Spinner.com:
“I just love music. The more I can be around it the better, so with my album it’s no one genre. It goes from everything from punk rock to hip-hop to some electro stuff on there to a metal song with Corey Taylor from Slipknot. It’s been really fun and interesting up till now.”
