As previously reported, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan have started a film production company called Living Breathing Films. A clip of their short film Thy Shalt I is streaming below.
The lineup has been revealed for this summer’s Mayhem Fest.
Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax, As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, Whitechapel, and High On Fire reportedly have been confirmed for the tour.
Additionally, a “huge” headliner (rumored to be Motorhead) is expected to be announced on March 5th.
Update 10:29am – Slipknot have officially confirmed that they will headline the tour.
Slipknot reportedly will headline this summer’s Mayhem Festival after an accidental announcement was made by an Ibanez representative at NAMM in Anaheim, California over the weekend.
In other band news, M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan will make his acting debut in the movie The Devil’s Carnival. “I am very honored to have been asked to be a part of this project. I play a character called The Tamer. And let me tell you, there is a little Tamer in all of us,” Crahan stated.
Crahan and Corey Taylor recently launched a production company called Living Breathing Films, which they announced at the Sundance Film Festival.
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and Dave Grohl recently collaborated on a song with producer Butch Vig (Nirvana). Further details have yet to be revealed.
Henry Rollins, Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, and Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro will take part in a benefit concert tonight in Hollywood, California at the Avalon for Drop In The Bucket, a Uganda-based non-profit that builds water wells and sanitation systems at large rural schools in sub-Saharan Africa.
Artist Shepard Fairey will also make an appearance at the event.
